What brought/brings you into cycling?
I like to go fast, and riding a bike opens up my lungs and lets my legs go distances they never had before! I continue to laugh at myself when, a year ago, I stated I would never get into cycling and that I have zero interest. Oh how wrong I was hahahaha.
Favorite race?
Santa Cruz Mountain bike race, I have yet to discover road bike racing this February. Mountain biking successfully traumatized me and yet I continue to put myself into terrifying situations, adrenaline junkie talking.
Biggest mistake before a race?
Sleeping less than four hours… life isn’t good.
What is your pre-ride/race ritual, if any?
I like to eat a frozen peppermint patty from Trader Joes, then accept the fact my entire body will be in agonizing pain for awhile. At times I like to quietly listen to Slayer and other metal genres to prep myself for a good day.
What are you looking forward to this upcoming season?
I look forward to doing well on my first year of racing, and hopefully beating several or more people as a newbie!
Describe your favorite training ride (preferably a la SNL’s skit "The Californians”)
My favorite training ride has to be when we roll through PCH as a group, looking at the beach, and then climb steep canyons and see the beautiful views as we descend.
Best burrito place?
Chipotle!!! One of the few restaurants I can get around with my allergies! Super Taqueria is the better burrito place in my opinion though, but there aren’t as many food options for me there.
Best coffee place?
Bulletproof coffee, bruh B)
Other interests?
Art, studying and reading about health and science, making food, eating food, sleeping, punching objects, collecting, thrift shopping, violent and gory movies.. I like too many things.
Any final ruminations, musings, or meditations?
I’m a little obsessed with my blue Kennybike. (Not “Kenny,” it’s “Kennybike.”)
