Racing since… Began my sophomore year of high school racing mountain bikes in the NorCal League. I didn’t race road until UCLA
What brought/brings you into cycling?
I enjoyed playing on bikes as a child, which lead to mountain biking and fixed gear toodling, which lead to much more mountain biking as well as road cycling.
Favorite race?
I like our road race.
Biggest mistake before a race?
Not bringing enough food.
What is your pre-ride/race ritual, if any?
It involves being behind schedule and not having enough time to warm up properly
What are you looking forward to this upcoming season?
More growth for the team. Last year was awesome, we had way more people coming out to race weekends than the year before. Hopefully that continues
Describe your favorite training ride (preferably a la SNL’s skit "The Californians”)
Pass under The 405 to cruise through the VA and down SV to PCH, Take PCH and then anything that involves Fernwood/Saddle Peak I usually enjoy quite a bit…or Latigo. Or some variation of whatever mtb route I happen to be craving.
Best burrito place?
Gordo Taqueria in Berkeley. Or that one in Napa on the way back from Boggs
Best coffee place?
the coffee shop formerly known as Royal Coffee
Other interests?
Skateboarding was the first love, art, being outside, complaining about horses
