What brought/brings you into cycling?
The adrenaline rush. That joyous pain you get when you’re pedaling your very hardest. And afterwards, living in a post-leg-day world knowing that you’ve done your best. But still, that somewhat perverted, perpetual dissatisfaction with yourself that makes you want to go even harder the next time.
Favorite race?
The ones with the most free stuff.
Biggest mistake before a race?
Puddding.
What is your pre-ride/race ritual, if any?
A cup of SF coffee and a couple of Chinese red dates.
What are you looking forward to this upcoming season?
Free stuff. Getting into the brotherhood of friendly competition.
Describe your favorite training ride (preferably a la SNL’s skit "The Californians”):
A Marina Del Ray Loop. MDR was my first ride ever and I do it at least once a week. However short of a ride it is, it always remind me how chill, beautiful, and garganchuin of a city we live and ride in
.
Best burrito place?
Any place that doesn’t serve them.
Best coffee place?
Philz Coffee on 6th and Santa Monica, but still second to Martha’s Coffee in San Francisco
Other interests?
Growing Spirulina and Kombucha, Bikram and Kundalini Yoga, Backpacking, Gardening, and shopping at Goodwill
Any final ruminations, musings, or meditations?
Namaste! Hit me up at 4155158255 for some yoga, backpacking, and of course, riding.
