What brought/brings you into cycling?
I raced for four years in high school.
Favorite race?
Sea Otter. I did it once but I missed my start at the mountain bike race (more about that). The road race at Laguna Seca was fun. I want another chance at the mtb race.
Biggest mistake before a race?
I once let my dad pump my tires. He did something wrong and the stem flew off into the grass, causing one of the tires to go to flat. In searching for a replacement, I missed my start at Sea Otter.
What is your pre-ride/race ritual, if any?
I don’t have one other than simply warming up.
What are you looking forward to this upcoming season?
I am looking forward to riding a lot and meeting new friends.
Describe your favorite training ride (preferably a la SNL’s skit "The Californians”): Regrettably, I have not seen this edition of SNL or, any other edition of SNL, so I can’t respond specifically, but I do enjoy riding in the San Gabriel mountains.
Best burrito place?
I don’t like burritos.
Best coffee place?
Starbuck’s.
Other interests?
Playing chess, low-stakes poker, and racquetball.
Any final ruminations, musings, or meditations?
Not from me.
