Emmanuel Velasquez came to UCLA Rowing as a walk-on this fall, earning a spot on the roster after his performance at novice championships and making his UCLA Rowing debut at the Naples Island Challenge. He earned a spot in the Novice B boat at the Ballona Creek Grand Prix and sat in the Freshman 8+ that won its category at the Long Beach duel.
