Summary

Biography

Matthew Leung walked on to UCLA Rowing as a coxswain at the end of fall quarter in 2016, and proved useful as a swiss army knife of sorts for his novice class, coxing the 2nd Novice 8+, Novice 4+, and Lightweight 4+ throughout the spring. In his first year with the varsity squad Leung has continued to provide valuable versatility, coxing the Lightweight 8+ and rowing in the Novice 8+ at San Diego Fall Classic and rowing in the Lightweight 8+ that won its category in the Long Beach Duel. With flexible athletes like Matthew around, the Bruins are in a good position to do well this postseason and beyond.
