Team President Dominic Pardini came to UCLA Rowing with big dreams as a freshman in 2014. With four years of rowing experience at Newport Aquatic Center under his belt, Dominic immediately made an impact on the team, racing in the Varsity 8 at every regatta and earning a silver medal at ACRA in the Varsity 4, including making the ACRA All-Academic first team and the All-ACRA Freshman boat. He was also a recipient of the Barry Berkett crew scholarship awarded to the top rowers in the program.

Entering his second season, Pardini was elected team captain and led the Varsity 8 that year to a victory over USC and strong finishes at San Diego Crew Classic and WIRA. As a junior he was re-elected captain and after spending fall quarter abroad in Barcelona, he returned to take home wins over Loyola Marymount and Colorado, culminating the season with a gold medal in the 2x at WIRA and a win in the club team category at Pac-12 Champs and the first ACRA appearance for the Varsity 8 in 5 years. In 2017 he was also named to both the Pac-12 All-Academic first team as well as the ACRA All-Academic first team for the second time. Since taking up a leadership role on the team, Dominic has more than tripled team membership, and has contributed to the hiring process of 5 different coaches in his 4 years. As team president this year, Pardini has continued to revitalize the program, racing in the Varsity 4+ at Head of the Charles and stroking the Varsity 8 to victory in the duel against Long Beach. Dominic hopes to cap off a successful 4 year career with the Bruins by taking home hardware in April and May.
