Terrence Williams has dedicated his life to sports, both as a competitor and a coach. He is a SoCal native, starting his track career at Orange High School out of Orange County, and eventually committing to UCLA as a Division 1 Track & Field athlete. As a track and field athlete, he achieved remarkable success, including being a four-time NCAA Division I All-American, a National Champion in the distance-medley relay and the 4x400m relay, and a 2004 Olympic trials competitor. He would then go on to sign his first pro contract with Adidas, where he competed as a 400m and 800m runner with the athletic brand. Terrence became loyal to Adidas, staying with the corporate side of the company after his professional running career as a brand activation specialist.
Eventually, his taste for sports involvement returned, and he went on to earn two Master's degrees in Sport Management and Kinesiology from Cal Baptist University. His education and experiences have shaped a career full of meaningful contributions to the athletic world.
Over the years, Terrence has taken on many roles, including Adjunct Professor in Kinesiology, Athletic Director, and Head Coach for Cross Country and Track & Field teams. He's worked with athletes at every level, from beginners to professionals, and even consulted as a fitness instructor for the TV show True Blood. These experiences display his ability to take on any challenge, as he has coached people ranging from aspiring elementary school student runners to professional UFC fighters. His passion for sports and education has allowed him to make an impact in various ways, including helping schools develop better physical education programs and mentoring athletes through tailored training.
In addition to his coaching and administrative roles, Terrence founded Everything Sports, a training company focused on helping athletes maximize their potential. He considers the founding and development of Everything Sports to be one of his proudest life moments, as it represents a culmination of his learning and his ability to develop others. By creating personalized training plans and meeting athletes where they are (which is something we find especially important), he has built a program that emphasizes personal and athletic growth and high performance. His work reflects his commitment to seeing athletes succeed, no matter where they start. For more information on Everything Sports, visit https://www.everythingsportsllc.com/.
Returning to UCLA, Terrence is excited to reconnect with the school and its athletic programs. This has been a very full circle moment for him, as he has seen UCLA at many points throughout its athletic history. He enjoys being on the track again, feeling like Drake Stadium is one of his homes away from home. He's especially interested in working with distance runners, impressed by their talent, and eager to help them excel. With his experience and genuine passion for sports, Terrence is ready to support the team and help them compete at a high level.
