Is practice mandatory?

Practices are not mandatory, so it is entirely up to you to decide which days to come out!

How long are the runs?

The distance you want to run each day is also up to you! The routes we offer typically range from 3 to 6 miles, but each route can be customized.

How to register for Bruinrunners:

Step 1: Register as a member of the Running Club on Ideal-Logic.

  1. Visit https://apps.ideal-logic.com/uclaclubsports.

  2. Log in with your ucla id or create an account.

  3. Under the tab "Clubs", find Running, and click "Join Now"!

  4. Fill out the New Membership Form.

  5. Pay both the Competitive Clubs registration fee ($50) from UCLA Recreation and our Running Club Annual dues ($50)

    1. You will likely need to pay the Club Sports registration fee first. Once that's been paid, you should see a screen like the one below

  1. To pay the Bruinrunner specific fee, do not click on the suggested link. Instead, click on the "Home" tab near the top of the screen, then "Student Home" on the side, and then click either "Continue Registration" in red, or "Pay Member Dues" in the green box below to finish registration.

  1. IMPORTANT: Make sure there's a green checkmark next to Running in that Current Membership box, which means you're an approved member. Otherwise you will not be able to pay the Bruinrunners dues and fully join. If there's a red X instead, click the X and complete the unfinished tasks to be approved.

  1. Once you've paid both fees and received the confirmation email, you are a fully registered member of Bruinrunners!

    1. NOTE: Sometimes you will need to have your physical (see below) to be completed and approved before you are given the option of paying the Bruinrunner fee.

Step 2: If not previously done, submit your physical to Club Sports! Find more information here, with the physical exam (PPE) form here. If you don't have a healthcare provider nearby or a recent physical on file, there are a few options:

  1. All registered UCLA students with or without UCSHIP can be seen at The Ashe Student Health Center for their PPE. The PPE costs $20 for all registered students. This fee will be charged to your Bruin Bill.

  2. CVS (10889 Wellworth Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90024) has a walk-in clinic and takes reservations.

  3. Wellness Mart (2200 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90025) offers sport physicals and takes walk-ins, or you can call ahead at (310) 820-2150.

  4. Note: If you have submitted a physical with club sports in the past, you don't need to submit one again!

Step 3: Fill out our T-Shirt order form after you have registered so that you can get this year's club shirt!

Additionally, according to the Club Sports guidelines, vaccinated individuals will need to be tested once a week and unvaccinated individuals will need to be tested twice a week to continue to attend in-person practice. UCLA offers self-test vending machines around campus, you can read more about how testing works here. For more information, you can read the UCLA Club Sports Covid Protocols.
