LOS ANGELES, Calif. – UCLA Men's Rugby is proud to announce that rising Bruins Harrison Cluff and Liam Hill have been selected to the USA Men's Under-20 National Team squad for the 2026 World Rugby U20 Championship in Georgia.
Cluff and Hill will join the nation's top young players as the USA returns to the premier international age-grade competition for the first time since 2013, representing both UCLA and the United States on rugby's biggest junior stage.
The tournament will take place from June 27 to July 18 across Tbilisi and Kutaisi, Georgia, with the United States drawn into a challenging Pool C alongside Argentina, England, and Ireland.
"This is an incredible achievement for Harry and Liam and a reflection of the commitment, work ethic, and character they bring to our program every day," said UCLA Men's Rugby Director and Head Coach Harry Bennett. "Representing your country is one of the highest honors in our sport, and we are excited to watch them showcase themselves on the world stage while representing UCLA Rugby with pride."
Over the past several months, Cluff and Hill have consistently demonstrated exceptional work ethic, commitment, and professionalism both on and off the field as they pursued this opportunity. Their selection to the USA Men's U20 squad is a testament to the dedication, resilience, and countless hours they have invested in their development and the UCLA Rugby program.
Their selection further highlights UCLA Men's Rugby's growing reputation as a pathway to elite competition, with Bruins continuing to earn opportunities at the national and international levels.
The USA U20s will open tournament play against Argentina on June 27 before facing England on July 2 and Ireland on July 7.
