Muggles no longer! UCLA Quidditch gets to turn students of all ages into daring wizards, a term we coined Kidditch. Like Madam Rolanda Hooch, the team taught its newest prospective members to play Quidditch at Camp Bob Waldorf.
Campers were introduced to: the Quaffle (the main ball used to score points), Bludgers (balls used to knock players off their broomsticks), and all kinds of wizardly rules to play the sport. Their favorite part was the thrill of the hunt as seekers, chasing the Golden Snitch around the pitch just like Harry Potter.
The team looks forward to meeting the campers again next year, to continue to develop their flight skills.
