Biography

Biography:
Following in her older siblings' footsteps, Jessica began playing basketball at the age of 8. She competed in the Elks National Free-throw Contest for several years and placed 2nd nationally in Massachusetts to help develop her shooting ability. During her freshmen year of high school, she was recruited to Varsity basketball at American Canyon. Instantly she made an impact as she holds the school record for most points scored in a single game, 30 points. In her sophomore year, she helped the team make playoffs for the first time in school history. Senior year, she led her team to 2nd in the league, averaging 13 points, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 8 rebounds per game. Her efforts were recognized as she won several awards like Time Herald's Athlete of the Week, Napa's Family Drug Athlete of the Week, Napa County Girls Player of the Year as well as making SCAC All-County First Team. It was a hard decision to part from basketball at the competitive level when she decided to attend her dream school, UCLA to study Psychobiology. Nonetheless, she couldn't go throughout her college years without playing basketball competitively, so she decided to create UCLA's first Women's Basketball Club. Thus, the club was born in 2017 and made for other girls like herself who want to keep their love for the game alive.
