Where are you from? 
One of the best places for riding bikes - Marin County, California

What year/major? 
Sophomore in Neuroscience

What got you into cycling?
With Mt. Tamalpais as our backyard, my dad was obligated to get a mountain bike for himself and me. I rode around our small driveway with him, and every time he lost balance, I would see that and naturally follow suit -- we ended up falling and laughing together, him on a new mountain bike me on my training wheels (I was only 5) until we both eventually got used to our new bikes. He eventually bought me a road bike on which I rode to school when I was 8, and soon enough we started doing century rides, and then the infamous Death Ride when I was 12!

Fondest memory in cycling?
Besides the five crashes on my face? Well, there are too many fond memories that I have. I love exploring different places with friends, whether it's with my high school mountain biking team, my junior development team, Team Swift, or with friends I met through riding/racing this past year. I think the one that takes the cake, however, is my bicycle trip around the island of Taiwan last summer in 2016. I met new friends who barely spoke English (I can hardly speak Mandarin as well), ate great food, experienced a new culture, and had the time of my life journeying through the cities and up the mountains. It also motivated me to write a blog about cycling.

What do you do when you're off the bike?
What any other student does: party, study, drink lots of coffee, stay on social media for a couple hours a day, and explore the outdoors. And of course I love writing/editing (if you have an essay you need someone to proofread, hit me up).
