Parkour is the refinement of your body movement during the interaction with the environment as you progress through it. The aim of this course is to introduce the fundamentals of parkour including vaults, wall runs, rolls and jumps to each student. Each class follows a structure of (1) warm-up and conditioning, (2) technical training, and (3) cool down. The conditioning portion of the class will push each student to their limits and better prepare their bodies for the stresses and impacts of parkour. The technical session will vary and advance each week as each student progresses in their confidence and abilities. The cool down will help each student return to their normal resting state and provide time to reflect on what transpired during the class.

Instructor - Austin Gall became involved with acrobatics and dancing around the age of 14. From there he quickly became interested in learning tumbling and flips, so he started attending training sessions at a local gymnastics center where he would later start coaching. Around 2006, Austin started attending open gym sessions at UC Berkeley with an older friend who was an alumnus. At the gym her ran into Brian Orosco, who was an up and coming parkour athlete. Through him, he found San Francisco Parkour (SFPK), a local community of parkour athletes, who organized small training sessions around the Bay area. Austin quickly became one of the most active members of the community; hosting weekly jams and weekend classes for beginners. It was also at this time that he became interested in photography and video in order to document his adventures with friends. Over time he has been offered opportunities to work in commercials and promotional events.
