A word about the team: The UCLA Women's Club Volleyball team offers the opportunity for competitive, yet fun volleyball play.
We have tryouts for both A and B Teams every year at the start of Fall Quarter. Please note that we do not offer tryouts during any other quarter. Both teams compete in various tournaments throughout the year, with our A team competing in the Division I league and our B team competing in the Division III league. In 2024, our A team won the Gold Division 1 Championship for Women's Club Volleyball at NCVF's nationals tournament shortly after winning the SCCVL Division I League Championships. Our B team has been very successful as well, winning the Division III gold bracket runner up at the SCCVL League Championships. Outside of volleyball, this amazing group of young women is dedicated to their academics and is involved in many other organizations on campus. The friendships that come through being a part of these teams are ones that are so impactful on our UCLA experience.
When do we play: We will begin practices during Fall Quarter and the club season officially starts in Winter Quarter. We play league
matches as well as weekend tournaments during Winter Quarter. The 2025 National Championship Tournament will be held in Phoenix, AZ.
Who do we play: During season we compete in the SCCVL (Southern California Collegiate Volleyball League), playing against teams such
as UCSB, USC, CSULB, and UCI. Along with these regional tournaments, we will also compete against teams from across the country at the NCVF
(National Collegiate Volleyball Federation) Collegiate Club Championships.
Who is eligible to play: All women enrolled as UCLA students, with a love for the game and a willingness to be dedicated, are eligible and
encouraged to try out for the team.
