UCLA Goes Undefeated in League Play, Looks Ahead to WWLL Tournament

With the regular season officially wrapped, we are taking a moment to reflect on everything we have accomplished so far. We are proud to say that we finished undefeated in league play, sitting at ten wins and zero losses, and feeling more connected and motivated than ever. This season has been full of exciting moments, strong competition, and incredible team performances. We are honored to represent UCLA every time we step on the field.

We opened our year with two scrimmages against NCAA Division III teams, the University of Redlands and Pomona Pitzer. These games gave us the opportunity to test ourselves early, get back into rhythm, and build team chemistry. After a win over Redlands and a learning experience against Pomona, we turned our focus to the games that would define our season.

Our first official win came against Grand Canyon University, a commanding 18 to 6 victory. Then, we headed to the Santa Barbara Shootout, where we secured key wins over Arizona State and the University of Virginia. That weekend showed us just how much drive and determination this team brings to every matchup.

At the Golden State Invitational, we defended our home field with four straight wins against Florida State, San Diego State, Utah Valley, and Utah. From quick transitions to tenacious defense and smart finishes on attack, everything started to click. The momentum continued into March as we added wins over Arizona and UC Santa Barbara, each game strengthening our confidence and connection.

To close out our regular season, we hosted Cal Poly on senior day and delivered a statement win with a 12 to 2 final score. Celebrating our seniors and honoring everything they have brought to this program was the perfect way to wrap up an incredible stretch of games.

Stat leaders have emerged across the board. Cougar leads the team with 31 goals, followed by Talitha with 24 and Rowdy with 21. Amelia, Kaitlyn, and Carson have been key contributors on attack and in the midfield. On the draw, Talitha continues to control possession with 39 draw controls and has helped us set the tone early in each game.
Defensively, Aliyah and Neva have stepped up in major ways, locking down opponents and recovering crucial ground balls. But what truly sets this team apart is that everyone plays a role. From starters to sideline energy, every player has helped us reach this point.

Now, we turn our attention to the WWLL playoffs in Santa Cruz. With our eyes on a return to the national championship in Wichita, we know the work is far from done. But we are ready, and we are hungry.
Thank you to our fans, families, alumni, and the entire UCLA community for showing up and supporting us all season long. Keep following along for updates as we enter the most important stretch of the year.
Let's keep this momentum going.
Go Bruins!!
