UCLA Club Sports

Fall 2024

We started out the quarter putting our team together. A new coach and many new players meant that our team was looking different from last year. With only a few practices before our first games, the team was looking good. On October 19th, we travelled to the University of Southern California for a Round Robin. We ended the day with two great wins over some challenging opponents - USC and CalPoly Pomona. Feeling great after a successful first weekend, we headed into our next game against Claremont McKenna. On October 26th, the Bruins ended with a decisive 59 to 10 win, with everyone on the team playing amazing. After that great game, we had a few weeks to focus on building up our chemistry and fundamentals as we prepared to host our Invitational Tournament. On November 16th and 17th, UCLA hosted eight other teams from across the state and even Arizona. The Bruins won their first game on Saturday against ASU, but sadly, we got our first loss against UC San Diego. This loss kicked us out of the Championship bracket, but we didn't let it get our spirits down. On Sunday, we came back and won games against UC Davis and UC Irvine. We finished the quarter 6-1, and showed amazing growth across the whole team. We cannot wait to see where Winter Quarter will take us next!
