Coming off a great 2023-2024 season with a Division 1 National Championship title, the UCLA Women's Club Volleyball A and B teams started off their 2024-2025 season with UC Irvine's Anteater Invitational Preseason Tournament.
The A-team, seeded #1 going into the tournament, had a great first day going 4-0 overall which gave them a high seeding for playoffs the next day. The B-team went 1-3 their first day as they had some tough match-ups against schools' A teams, but came back on Sunday ready to fight for the gold. The B-team won their first two playoff games which got them to the semi-finals, while on the other side of the bracket the A-team won their first game to get into the semi-finals.
After a close fight for both teams, their opponents ended up advancing to the finals while both UCLA A and B tied for 3rd place. The teams are still very happy with how they played and are grateful for the opportunity to see some competition before they jump into their season this Winter.
