Back from Break- Prepping for Chapman
Â
Before spring break UCLA had a team that was dealing with injuries and when they returned they had 3 of 7 guys back and a team that was rested. On April 3 the Bruins practiced for the first time in almost three weeks and you could feel the excitement- The guys were pumped up and running all over the field, it was a great day to be a Bruin. On Tuesday the adrenaline dropped 20% and the team was sore but they kept working and they did the same every day after that .On Saturday they got off the bus atÂ
Chapman ready to play and play hard they did against another top 12 team. The Bruins competed and went to half time down 7-6, lead by stellar performances by
Nathaniel Kuffner at the faceoff,
David Mastro and the Ice Man (Max Isler) at attack plus tremendous goal tending by
Fox Ashwood. The second half started out sort of slow for the Bruins and fast on the part of Chapman. They controlled the ground ball game and scored 4 quick goals leading at the end of the third 11-7. In the fourth UCLA had a hard time staying at the pace set forth by Chapman as they added 6 goals to 0 for the Bruins and the game ended 17-7. Â
Â
The Bruins will head back to practice Tuesday  to begin preparation for their final two games, USC on the 20th at the LA Coliseum at 7pm and Whittier College on the 22nd at Whittier at 1pm.
