On the Sunday of Week 6, November 12th, the UCLA Archery Club successfully hosted the SoCal Indoor Archery Collegiate Championship UCLA Qualifier, or SIACC UCLA Qual. We are thrilled to share that 50 of our club members participated, with the majority being newcomers to archery this year!

A special congratulations goes to Brendan Towell for clinching first place in the Recurve Men division with an impressive score of 549, Evin Rhee for securing first place in the Compound Men division with a score of 568, Helena Xu for claiming first place in the Compound Women division with a score of 554, and Tae Kang for emerging victorious in the Fixed Pin Men division with a score of 568. It's truly remarkable to highlight that our UCLA Archery Club members achieved first place in four out of the eight divisions! Also, a big shoutout to our new members who completed their very first qualifier; many of the UCLA archers participating in this event were new to both the club and the sport of archery, and we are immensely proud of each and every one of you.

Additionally, we extend our gratitude to Olympic Archery in Schools (OAS) and the Easton Foundations for providing essential equipment. Your ongoing support is invaluable to us. A special thank you goes out to our dedicated club members who committed to waking up early to assist with setup and cleanup. Your contributions were crucial, and we are truly grateful for your dedication!
