The wait is over: UCLA Esports applications for the 2021-2022 season are officially open! We are looking for talented and passionate athletes, team managers, coaches, content creators, administrators and more! If you are interested in joining our ranks and becoming involved in UCLA Esports and the UCLA gaming community, now is the time.
The deadline for athlete applications is September 10th, while the staff applications close July 2nd. Please be sure to carefully read the descriptions of each application, they have important information about eligibility, first and second round of tryouts, and other responsibilities. Apply to be an esports athlete:
During the 2020-2021 season, over 50 athletes competed under the UCLA banner this year across 10 teams. We are always on the lookout for exceptional talents who will help take us to the national stage once again. Think you have what it takes to level up esports at UCLA? Athletes must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students for the school year. Students who graduate early in the 2021-2022 year are still eligible.
Apply to be a coach or team manager:
Our teams are built on the strength of our support staff, and this year we had incredible managers and coaches who were capable of elevating our club. If you are enthusiastic and ready to become a key player in building our community, apply for team support positions below. Team managers must be full-time UCLA undergraduate or graduate students. Team coaches and analysts do not have to be UCLA students.
Apply to be part of the vision:
We're looking to expand our administration structure to better support the growth of our organization. Graphics designers and video producers also have the option of working with Bruin Gaming, UCLA's social network for both casual and competitive gamers.
Looking for a future in esports? Many members of UCLA Esports administration have fielded offers for internships and full-time jobs at TSM, Cloud 9, LA Valiant, Team Liquid, 100 Thieves, Riot Games, UCLA, and more.
