This past Saturday, in preseason action, the Women's Club Basketball team took on LMU on Collins Court in the John Wooden Center. Leading the Lions 37-5 at halftime, the Bruins rolled to a convincing 55-13 victory. Following the game, coach Grace Gelone noted that she was impressed with the team's dominant tempo that controlled the game, pointing out that despite a lack of practice time spent on zone defense, the team reacted well and looked liked a cohesive unit on both sides of the ball. Coach Gelone was also pleasantly surprised with freshman McKenzie Duran-Gonzalez's clutch performance in the paint all throughout the game. The Bruins will be back in action next Saturday when they travel to USC to take on the Trojans.
