With their season reaching its very end, UCLA's Women's Club Basketball swept Loyola Marymount University with an outstanding (73-26).
Â
Going into the game coach Vivian Wong commented on the teams' status saying, "The bruins only had a few practices before today's game due to the rigorous schedule of the quarter system, but the girls are determined to give their all."
Â
Coach Wong wasn't't wrong, at the ring of the buzzer the bruins hit the court full force, scoring 41 points to Marymount's 13. Nevertheless, Marymount didn't give up. At the start of the second half they initiated a full court press in an effort to regain the possession. However, the bruins didn't't give in, intercepting plays left and right leading to an early mercy rule finish with a final score of 73-26 in favor of UCLA.

Team captain
Jessica Maguire remarked on the teams win: "We did well offensively but were a bit slow on the defense. This game may have ended with a win, but overall we still have to work on a few things to get better such as be more aggressive to the ball."
Â
In just a few weeks, the bruins will travel to San Luis Obispo to play in the Southern California Invitational tournament consisting of eight teams, all fighting for a place in the finals.
Â
Wish them luck!Â
