UCLA Figure Skating Team Competed In Utah and Earned 3rd Place

The UCLA Figure Skating Club Team traveled to Logan, Utah this past weekend to compete at Aggie Open, an intercollegiate competition hosted by Utah State University. This was their second sectional competition of the year and they have one more next weekend in San Jose. The team's placement at these sectional competitions qualifies them for Nationals, which will be hosted by Notre Dame in April. The top four teams from the section (averaged by placement at three sectional competitions) will qualify for Intercollegiate Nationals. In their team maneuver events at Aggie Open, the UCLA Figure Skating Team earned three trophies. Their high and intermediate teams won and low team finished third. Overall, Aggie Open was a very successful competition for the skaters, with the team placing third overall. They look forward to their final qualifying competition hosted by Stanford University and UC Berkeley next weekend.
